Flipping the image on timeline???

I shoot stuff with an adapter so I use the "Flop" filter for all my footage.
But the image on the time line is not actually fliped so I always wish it would filp as well.....
now I was woundering if there is a way to do that? could that be done by any chance???

thanks

Turn on the wireframe - view->wireframe.
Then move your mouse to one of the corners of the image in the canvas or viewer. It will turn to a "rotate" icon. You can then rotate the image right in the the viewer or canvas (depending on whether the clip is in the timeline or not)

I've once heard that isn't the right way to flip the image. because it won't sometimes do a complete 180 degree position, but is that fine?
I'll give it a try today.
thanks

It seems to have worked fairly well for me. If you hold one of the modifier keys (can't remember which one) it will lock down the rotation in 45 degree segments ensuring that you hit 180 degrees right on (same deal as with photoshop rotations)

Opening the motion tab and rotating 180 degrees will be a much faster and more accurate way to manually rotate your footage.

OK,
I just did the rotation by wireframe in FCP. the image is filped 180 degrees and it looks fine
but I have to say there wasn't a diffrence. in the time line......

I may have miss lead some of you so let me say what I wanted to do again.
I have all my footage upside down because I shoot with an adapter.
so in FCP I flip the image by using the "Flop" filter or rotating the image by wireframe.
HOWEVER, the image in the Timeline seems to have a fliped image.
I can playback all my footage just as normal and everything looks good.(the image is fliped when it playbacks)
but what I don't like is that the layout in the Timeline is upside down.
do you get what I'm saying??

(you know how the footage in the Timeline has the first frame as the picture, so you know which clip is from. I wanted to know if there is a way to flip that?)

those are the thumbnail displays for the clip, and no, you can't flip those.

I don't know if this will work but maybe if you flip the clip in the bins before you drop it in your timeline. The time line image refers back to the clip in your bins so this might work.

thank you everybody for the help.
I've tryed everything but it looks like it just can't be done so it's fine now.
thanks again

that doesn't work either. just have to get used to upside down thumbs.

motion tab 180deg rotate is the best way to flip. flop filter uses more processor. ya know you can flip all your clips at once by flipping one, copying it, selecting the rest of the clips, right click, paste attributes, basic motion. flips all of them at once. then create a new bin called "flipped", drag all the flipped clips from the timeline into the new bin and there you have a bin full of flipped clips to work with. thumbs remain upside down though.
