flipping (glycerin & mirror)

First of all... Hello to everybody.
I'm Emiliano from Italy.
After lurking for months I've decided to built my own erecting dof adapter using a mirror system.
As i know this system have relevant loss of light.
Reading about diy Anamorphic lens I saw some prisms built using glass with glycerin inside, that for me reduce the loss of light.
So I'm wondering if building a mirror system in a cube full of glycerin with reduce this problem.
What do you think?

No it will not. The mirrors are going to lose as much light as they lose no matter what you put between them. Anything additional will just create more light loss as even the best of glass can't compete with open air for light transmission. A mirrored Jello cube would be something to see though.
