Flexible Mirror

makes me think of that scene from F/X
couldn't you just buy some foam board and some foil or reflective wrapping paper? If you're just talking about reflecting the light.

Yea I guess you could.
I tried out a mirror today and it lights the subject alot.
Adds alot of light. And if you dont want to such light.
Cover it with thin white paper.
It gives you two different options.
I think it might work pretty well.
As soon as it shines a light on it.
There is a ton of light bounced at your subject.

To get that flexible mirror flat (and you'd need it flat for a non-distorted reflection) you will have to mount it on some plain surface. That's a lot more work than just flipping out a reflector - so it wouldn't replace a reflector for me.

If you need a very strong and direct reflection though, I guess this flexible mirror mounted on a strong foamcore board will be a lighter and safer solution than a real glass mirror.
