Flash memory prosumer camcorders?

[Randall_Oelerich]

When are we going to see flash memory (no tape, no hard drive) prosumer camcorders? Consumer flash memory camcorders are out (I just bought a Canon VIXIA HF100), but will the prosumer versions come out soon to replace miniDV tape prosumer camcorders like the Canon XH-A1?

hvx200a? hmc150? hpx170? ex-1, ex-3? all of those record to solid state flash cards of some variety or another.

Thank you. Wow, I guess I am in the dark, I thought only consumer camcorders had the flash memory recording. Do you think miniDV prosumer camcorders will soon go the way of the dinosaur, such as the Canon XH-A1 (a fine camcorder, it just seems like solid state recording is becoming the norm?), and be replaced by all solid state flash memory AVCHD prosumer camcorders?

[Barry_Green]

Yes.
