Flare Gun Effect

[ramsaur]

Not the muzzle flash, have plenty of those. If your confused this is what I mean:

Anyone know a place I can get the effect of a flare going up in the sky for about 4-5 seconds? or anyone that would like to make one for me? I don't have cash to buy a big package of effects. I just need that one effect.

I'm not sure if this site has EXACTLY what you're looking for, but it's full of FREE Effects Stock Footage...

Hope that helped!

Cheers!

Well I've found what I wanted, but if it's free how do you download?

EDIT: I found it but it's just all blood. I'm not looking for blood. Know of any other sites with stock footage? I'm looking for more of smoke and particles.

Why not film a model rocket launch then edit out the rocket and just keep the smoke trail ... isn't that how it looks when a flare gun fires?

wouldnt it be easier to just get a real flare gun and shoot that?

Um...I don't know what part you were looking at, but it's not all just blood...

...there's a TON of free things, like, muzzle flashes, fireballs, flamethrowers, explosions, rain, ROCKETS, etc...

Trapcode has a great free Pyro Pack for Particular. Might want to try that out next time as well.
