Being pushed partly for production use, why do FS keep putting out monitors which aren't bright? We don't have to get too technical but is it just because there's no free lunch with 1000+nit and they believe it's the only way to maintain their quality? Not being bright enough is surely one of the most frequent requests they hear about?
Or are they selling so many of these in bulk to broadcast crews and video villages viewing from tents? I guess it's ignorant to think most users would be setting these up on stands for day exteriors so perhaps they are happy to not play the brightness game. Their hard work went into an extremely extensive set of features so I understand why they wouldn't let everything else take a hit by caving to a single spec. But it's sort of like an engineer was told in the 90s brightness isn't an issue because crew members will set up black solids and they went OK great, no need to revisit ever again.
