Flag kits

Hello,
I'm looking for a flag kit. Something with bounce, negative bounce, scrim, etc.
The only two I've found online were switchbladegrip.com and a big box from B+H.

Does anyone have experience with these flag kits? Or any advice on where to buy?

Thank you,
Dan

The Road Rags get my vote for a kit. Take care of them they are fragile.

You may want to build some "Pizza Box" bounce boards to supplement a small kit. But the bead board at Home depot and the reflective material from a Roscoe or Lee distributor. it would be handy to have a quaker to mount your bead board.

Do you need the portability of the road rags kit?

Get flags and scrims similar to this. Much cheaper when you consider how many you have to get...and I don't know, I haven't used the road rags kit, but having to setup your flags each time you pull them out seems like a little bit of a hassle.

To start out, you should consider getting 2 2x3 solids, a single scrim, double scrim, and silk. As you expand your kit more, you might find yourself wanting the same things, but in the 18x24 size.

You might want to make a little wooden box to hold all of your flags, as the scrims do tend to get ripped if you're not careful. That's just the nature of the material though, and as long as you always sandwich them inbetween the solids, you should be good.

With the bounce boards, hope depot is a good route. You can also get show cards at art stores, which has black on one side, and white on the other. If you have any C-stands, think about getting a platypus to hold them. Makes life a bit easier.
