Fixing the Letus Extreme.

When I turn on the Letus Extreme, the red button comes on but the motor does not start. Should I open up the Letus and try to figure out what's going on? If so, what should I look for and where do I open it? Is there a way to replace the motor? Also, by the way, I have been using triple AAA batteries. I now realize I should have used the larger batterires. Could that have been a factor in the malfunction? Thank you.
 
The Letus Extremes usually need to have their motors changed out every so often from what I heard. Send it back to Letus and have them fix it, cause it is a fragile adapter.
 
I would do what dan suggested and send it to Letus. But you can take it apart fairly easily. I have done it to clean the ground glass but unless you really know what you are doing I would not try to fix it yourself. If you break something else it will just cost more to fix.
 
I purchased my Letus at B&H. That means I need to go to the Paortland office for servicing. The problem is I'm in Europe. I wish I could contact Letus Portland from Europe. Their number is constantly busy.
