So I have a bit of a sticky situation. I have a project from someone that was shot on the GH-1.
He Log and Transferred the footage with the remove advanced pulldown and duplicate frames box checked and then, when the footage was showing up as 29.97 in the browser he clicked on tools > reverse telecine and converted the footage to 23.976. Thinking the problem was solved he proceeded to edit the footage.
Now that I have the project, I've discovered that there are duplicate frames so motion in the footage appears to stutter. I tried capturing the footage from the source media and it comes in ok but it's 29.97 again. If I do the usual compressor transcode to remove pulldown I get errors and the clips won't re-connect to the new media. Is there anything I can do without having to re-edit the footage?
