fixing grain

I took some concert video and the footage during daylight hours is really good. At night not so good. It is alittle grainy. The black sky in the background is the problem. Is there a way to smooth that out or the next time a way not to have that happen.

After Effects has some other "temporal" noise filters as well. Should help out as lon gas the shot is static and is not panning, tilting, etc

Nothing on FCP?

The linked 'Denoise' plugin had an FCP option. The price was $149 or so... which while not 'negligable' is cheaper than some plugins...

Graeme Nattress has a set of plugins called The Big Box of Tricks that has some Noise Reduction Plugins.

I would like something free to see if it will work. Trying a few things with Magic Bullet.
