I have shot avi videos with my Canon Ixus 860 and also made time lapse AVIs to DivX with VirtualDub. Now I had a little hard drive accident and have managed to recover some AVI files but they won't work correctly. I open them with VLC and try to repair them, this results in VLC playing clips that are a couple of seconds long from some of my longer videos. Yet the files seem to be their original size. Is there anything I could still try??
