Fixing audio disaster in premiere / audition.

Heya

So, I had to go out of town because my father died suddenly, this meant I had to abandom an event gig and hand it over to one of my colleagues and two of our apprentices.

Unfortunately none of them are very experienced in doing gigs like that, so while I tried my best to explain how I'd do it over the phone, the results are pretty bad :S
Mostly because of the choice of camera and the setup. We have one FS7 and lots of 5Ds, but they chose to do the speaking part of the event with the canons, where I would have used the FS7 as a main camera as well as for sound.
So what I have now is a main camera with sound dropping out, in some spots, it even took the apprentice 2 minutes before noticing the camera had stopped recording :(
The other 5D was recording sound in-camera, but it sounds awful.

But as it is, it's all I've got to work with. The main sound was recorded with a microport and sounds decent.

QUESTION:

Is there any way at all that I can get remotely close to having those two recordings sound similar? Ie. make the in-camera audio match the microport a bit more? :(

Cheers

I'm sorry for your loss.

Maybe post some samples of the audio so people can hear what you're working with?
