fixing audio clicks and pops

I have some bad audio. Clicks and pops and such. Was wondering what tools in Premeire Pro 1.5 I should use to clean it up. Anyone out there who can help?

Thanks.

I don't know of any way to do it in premiere. A couple of apps that can do this are Adobe's audition (does it quite slickly) and Sound Forge.

edit: vidled beat me to it with basically the same approach

Well that's too bad. I don't really have time to learn a new program. So I was forced to lose the audio. Ironically, it actually made the piece better. Divine Intervention?

Good for you...

It's not uncommon for that to happen. I've learned that it keeps my stress levels down to step back and look at changing elements... usually it helps.

Some call it "thinking outside of the box".
