Five Tips to Making an Effective Training Video

Hi,

As a bit of a background I am a corporate / promo film maker with a degree majoring in psychology. We all know that training videos work, but I wanted to find some good evidence on how to make an effective training video so recently I went to a uni library and spent a day reading up.

I compiled the info and some notes from my personal experience into an article which I have posted online http://www.topfloor.com.au/5tips.html

I'm sure there are stacks of other training video producers out there so I thought I'd post a link to this article as hopefully it can be of some help.

Cheers,

Matt

These are my intrests and don't anticipate that it's easy to provide such a varied combination of work but at present I take advantage of any opportunity to delve in..

Thanks for the link...

Very interesting,
is it just me or is there something funny about this paragraph?

If you have multiple locations or franchises, video is a great economical and effective method of communication. For example, Blanchard and Thacker states that ADV Communications in the United States estimated a cost of approximately US$150,000 to bring their 60 sales people to their headquarters for a one week sales training meeting. By creating a training video to be mailed out to sales departments, this price was slashed. With time and staff short in most Brisbane based businesses, a video is a great alternative.
