first time with Letus extreme

In two weeks I'm DPing/shooting a friend's shoot. He's got a pretty low budget, but he's got enough for a Letus Extreme adapter (I've got an HVX and 4 Nikon 35mm primes). I'm extremely excited, this will be my first time with an adapter.

He doesn't have a budget for an HD monitor, and from what I've heard.... HVX + adapter - HD monitor = disaster.

Now I have a lot of experience shooting on still film with my lenses, and I always get accurate focus with my eye. But I know the HVX's LCD isn't great, and that focusing with moving is no where close to as easy as focusing for a still image. I will have two ACs and they will be measuring all shots for setting focus as well as helping me pull focus.

Can anyone give me some advice for my first time with a Letus? And I know it will be a lot harder, but it is POSSIBLE to shoot without a monitor with two ACs right?
