First test shots with hv20+letus extreme

Hi there, this afternoon I took some shots on Ciutat de les Arts in Valencia with my combo and, although it's not more than a early test, with little color grading, I've uploaded it in case someone is interested.
Lenses are 50mm f1.4 and 17-35mm f2.8

Quick conclusions:
- I need a monitor to a)focus and b)adjust vignetting
- Closing down camera aperture, image is a bit soft
- 17mm barrel distorsion is more evident than I thought

Ok, there you are, best regards.

Here's a grab with a bit of color correction and post vignetting.

I should have shot this a lot earlier, it was too dark.

Regards

Thanks for sharing; and for the other tests you have posted as well.... Very much appreciated!

How do you like the HV20/Letus combo. I notice vignetting in that frame. Does the extreme have an issue with that?

Nope, I'm guilty for that. I couldn't check zoom level with my monitor -that stayed at home- and didn't zoom enough, nothing to worry.
I think hv20+LEX is a great and affordable combo, but you need good lighting, as this little camera is quite afraid of darkness. I also need an Intensity card so that I can get rid of that nasty hdv compression and live-capture through hdmi in glorious 1920x1080p @4:2:2.

Best regards

Hmm, it's pretty weird, when compressing into x264, i think video lost video/audio syncro and several shots seem to be in fast motion... can't say what went wrong, or maybe is my media player, let me know if you watch it.
Regards

how do you play mkv files? can you not post something with a more standard compression? Thanks.

mkv is a container of a x264 avi, it can be played with VLC, media player classic and windows media with proper codec.
Sorry for the inconvenience

Vimeo link added.
Good night

Grrrrr, not my day, Vimeo has no audio. Going to sleep and fix it tomorrow
