EXT. ROB’S HOUSE - NIGHT - ESTABLISHING
ROB JONES 24 male, stands outside his old house fumbling his
keys to unlock the front door. Suddenly he is approached by
a distraught, unshaved DRUG ADDICT 26, who is twitching,
itching and looking for his daily dose of cocaine from Rob.
ADDICT
Dude Rob I’ve been looking
everywhere for you.
ROB
I told you I don’t have anything
for at least another week.
ADDICT
Don’t ****ing lie to me man, I need
it I can’t sleep I’m losing my
mind, I have some of my grandmas
jewelry with me-
ROB
I don’t want your grandma’s ****ing
jewelry, I told you not until next
week, now get the **** off my porch
and go clean yourself up. I will
let you know when I have it in the
mean time don’t come here again.
ADDICT
Fine you’ll see Rob. Think you can
tell me what the **** to do, I’ll
show you, you watch.
ROB
(Whispering)
Ya whatever, drugs are the last
thing he needs.
INT. ROB’S HOUSE - NIGHT
Rob opens the door and is greeted by the disgusting look of
his house. He tosses his stuff down and walks to the kitchen
running his hands through his hair.
On the kitchen table is a drug scale, and a pile of COCAINE.
Rob is then approached by RACHEL 26, his girlfriend.
RACHEL
Hey honey where have you been? you
said you’d be home an hour ago?
(CONTINUED)
CONTINUED: 2.
ROB
Hey, yea I got caught up with
things, had an errand to take care
of. That lunatic was outside again
looking.
RACHEL (O.S.)
Well if he bothers you so much why
do you still sell this ****?
ROB
(Aggravated)
Because Rachel, it gets us by
alright? puts food on the table,
we’ve been over this a million
times.
RACHEL
Well it isn’t right Rob look at
you, you don’t love this, your not
happy anymore, this **** is ****ing
you up and its affecting us.
ROB
Jesus I’m not gonna get into this,
I am perfectly fine, you have to do
what you have to do OK? You
wouldn’t know that cause your
sitting here inside all day while
I’m out freezing my ass off trying
to make something out of this-
RACHEL
Oh don’t bring me into your little
drug world OK? You wouldn’t know
have this **** I do around here-
ROB
(continuing)
Whatever I’ll be back soon.
