first mic need a little help

Hey all,

I just bought my first mic which was an MK012A thanks to all the great reviews and helpful information on this site.

I need some XLR cable to run into my DVX, on bhphoto star quad is $40 for 25ft which is kind of high, does anyone know of a viable alternative which is cheaper and where I could find it? thanks

Have you considered bulk-ordering the cable and soldering on your own neutrik connectors? Alternately, check the price on a single 50' cable and an extra set of XLR connectors (cut it in half and turn it into a couple of 25' cables).

You also might want to give MattINSTL's cables a try...if he is still making them (send him a PM in here). Best deal on cables out there. Buy them quick before Matt realizes how bad he is getting screwed on his cheap prices
