Finally made my first Light purchase with many more to come.

These can be plugged in at most homes correct? Also, I plugged it in and it got pretty darn hot after a few minutes, is that normal? I thought work lights get alot hotter, but it seemed pretty comparable to me, it's an ARRI 650 fresnel. Let me know, I don't want to blow it up.
 
Yeah, you'll have no trouble running anything up to a 2K of most household power. And yes, they do get very hot fairly quickly. You should also invest in some grip gloves if you don't want to eventually hurt yourself real bad.
 
Yea, that's what I'm getting next. Thanks for the tips guys. NBC-you ever figure out which girl you're going to stick with? If I remember correctly it was either the pretty one, or the one who wants to marry. Seems like an easy choice to me! :)
 
Yeah, the fresnel glass makes the lights extremely hot -> it's keeping the heat in. I agree, get yourself some nice gloves, your hands deserve them!

Damn! I wish it were that easy. Well, tonight I just dumped the young pretty one. Stupid me.
