First Impressions of teh NEW DV MultiRiG

It looks like both of you would like to have two grip extenders fixed on top of the joints, Or perhaps even have two extra grips fixed to the joints.

This is easy and I will make them as extra acc. or may be raise the price a bit and
include them in the package. What do you think ?

I think an extra grip extender would really come in handy for someone who really loads up their rig. I could see having a mic on one and a light on the other. Event videographers would most likely see that as a nice option.

Good call, Event Videographers like myself.

Danny, I think you could sell extra padded grip extenders as opposed to the metal grip extender itself.
Actually if you had extended grips on both left and right handles, then the rig might even stay more balanced when shooting either by griping the top or bottom grips.

The only thing you would lose is the ability to convert the rig quickly for added configurations, as you would have to at least remove the right grip.

Danny I think that's a great idea.

It would even be better if it were a padded grip extender, basically an extra grip that has a 1/4 screw thread mounted in one end, for screwing into the attached arm.

The config I came up with really isn't that bad for my operating the camera curently. As I can go from shoulder to Fig Rig mode fairly quickly.

Actually my biggest problem is folding the rig back down to be placed in my bag. Those darn little locks are tricky for me. Gotta work on my hand eye coordination I guess. :)

But you're Multirig will have a home in your cardboard box/house.

Having actually been homeless at one time, it isn't all it's cracked up to be. Try sleeping on a motorcycle... not too bad, unless you roll over in your sleep.

As far as the DVrig, has anyone tried it with an HD100? Any suggestions on configuration?

LOL, I was homeless as a young man and lived of the Food Bank(free food). The motorcycle would suck.
Feels so much better to make more money and have bigger debts now? ......hmm, I can't wait to get a DVMultiRig though!

Multi Rig config pics online

I have been helping out some new MultiRig users with setup and configurations of their new DVMulti Rigs.

So I have posted a few pictures of my setup online for others to see.
I don't show the unit in pure Fig Rig mode, as I had to use the support pod, in order for me to handhold both the rig and the camera at the same time.

Keep in mind that these are the most used and basic modes you will be shooting in, and depending on your shooting style and setup, you may prefer others.

With this setup I never have to add or take any accessory off my rig, and am able to change configurations to any of the basic shooting modes, handheld (w/without support pod)m Fig Rig, Shoulder supported, Low Profile (you can still keep the support pod attached and lay on the flow to shoot if you like), or tripod mounted.

The only thing that may take a little bit of time, might be screwing/unscrewing the support pod from the bottom of the rig.

Danny, feel free to use any of these pictures on your website if you like.
