finally some footage! Do you have any video to show? How about writing a review? =)

Thanks!

Thank you for the compliment...it was quick "2 lights and a soft box" documentary lighting as well as some natural background daylight on the "nurse" frame. I am not a writer or a reviewer, but I must say that I am pleased with the M3. I have used other adaptors in the past and this one has minimal light loss and it is sharp, easy to attach and gives me just what I need as far as shallow depth of field. I will soon shoot more "moving" video using these and my other nikon lenses and try to post some actual footage.

Yeah the image rally looks good and sharp! Can you hear the M3 working at all, or feel any vibrations?

yup, can't wait to see a real footage. I am still can't get over the 35mm adapter for now, maybe I am just an old fashion.

P.s. I love the nurse frame the most actually...hahahaaha

Can't hear it running. No vibrations detected. I won't be shooting with the M3 rig THIS week... but I will post some "real" footage as soon as I can.

wow, image is very sharp. but I'm not sure about the boke...would like to see some footage as well!

I'm quite sure that "bokeh" is determined by the individual lenses used and not the image created by the adaptor's GG.

Both yes and no, mostly the lenses F stop will determin how much bokeh you get. But also the groundglass- for instance: My achrylic groundglass with larger grainpattern gives me much more bokeh than the glass ground glass with a much finer grain pattern.

I'm quite sure that "bokeh" is determined by the individual lenses used and not the image created by the adaptor's GG.

having made 3 adapters one for mid format, 1 hybrid, one for 35, and making custom gg and also used redrock gg, I say that in the use of lens adapters, the GG "influences" bokeh. Using the same nikon lens for instance, on a HDSLR and adapter, gives a different bokeh shape and look than when used on a lens adapter+videocam.

Thank you, I stand corrected. I am curious, however. What is meant by "more" or "less" bokeh as opposed to the "quality" of the bokeh being good or bad?

Ultra-sharp images is not what I'm after, but I can't really understand how you can judge the sharpness by looking at those low res pictures.... OK, for SD they are sharp enough. But it's HD era... We need hi-res screenshots.

Bokeh is a vague term. Traditionally I think it refers to how out of focus highlight speculars are rendered and then it is a lens issue only. If you mean the amount of apparent DOF and general quality of the image and especially the out of focus areas then its heavily affected by the GG.
