First couple weeks messing with after effects

A little kinetic typography; enjoy.

are those text effects preset transitions for the most part?

[seven.b]

Nope, this is all precomps, parenting, expressions and keyframes.

Looks great, especially for your first few weeks!

Wow. I'm thoroughly impressed. How long have you been working with After Effects now? "A couple weeks"? Pretty impressive. Question, how did you go about making the text swing back and forth as it was revealed? I've been trying to achieve that look with the text project I'm currently working on using key frames to no avail.
