It looks good in 1080 HD but does Vimeo have 4k now?
My thoughts as well. Although, even if they had 4K most of us won't be able to view the 4K footage on our non-4K computers anyway![]()
We could at least interpolate it down to 2k to see what that looks like. Either way, looks pretty good to me for a global shutter $4000 camera. Hopefully there will eventually be an update that lets it do at least 1080p60, of which there are... rumours.
I agree but someone described it as "killer detail" to which I thought so as well, and then it dawned on me if I was watching it in Vimeo (HD) on a 1080p monitor, it could not present any better than well, just real good Vimeo HD on 1080p monitor.
As an aside, this kind of example reminds me of how good HD actually can be, or that I've grown used to seeing so many low quality HD examples that good HD starts looking like I think 4k should if I had the monitor for it. Ah...you know what I mean.
For those of you who say the DR is not that great please point that out to me in those clips because I thought it looked great. I've downloaded all of the clips and the only one that would be questionable is the "City Gallery" with the white car way in the background blown out as well as the white umbrella to the right. I think any of the BMC cameras would do that.
Just the clouds really, first 2 scenes you can see the clouds are blown out in some spots, and that umbrella. There were other small insignificant spots too, like in the scene with the tram, there is a white box on the pole which seems to be blown.
However, without the original footage, there is no way to know if it is actually blown, or it just wasn't corrected properly. The DR isn't really an issue for me. It is those motion artifacts which are bothering me.
I see. I looked at the clouds in the "Beach Jetty" clip at the upper right hand corner and I can see where you might think that. I still think that looks like what I would expect.
But the "stuttery" motion artifacts...for me I think it has to do with my system trying to play 4K video.
I'm sorry that's not correct. All 8 files are 3840 X 2160.the uploaded video is only 1080p not an actual 4k file
