Firewire PCI Card

Hey Folks

I find myself in the need of a firewire PCI card for my G4. I have way two many firewire devices (7 to be exact). And some of them I can not daisy chain. I am tires of getting in behind my computer(another reason to tell my wife I need a G5) and unplugging and pluggin in is not good for my ports, nor my devices.
So there are way too many to chose from. Help. I know I can go cheap, or highend with firewire 800. But seeing that my towers days are abit numbered I do not want to go to crazy.
Any help would be super mucho great.

Re: Firewire PCI Card

Check out the Sonnet Allegro FW800 card. I think it works in both G4 and G5 Macs. In my G5, it's been flawless for the external Lacie I use for capture. Not too expensive, either. I think I got mine from provantage.com, but you might be able to find a better price on ebay, Froogle, or dealmac.com

This was at the bottom of the link. Now I have to get it.

Re: Firewire PCI Card

Don't know if Dino supports FW 800, but the Allegro card does. Makes capturing to an external HD possible.
