Firewire Help

I'm trying to capture dv footage from a dv deck to my computer. The problem is that I don't seem to have a firewire port on my computer. The port that I thought was firewire is actually a USB port. Is there any way to get the footage from the dv deck onto my computer?

Just but a Firewire card for your computer.
You don't need an expensive one either.

You didn't say laptop.

Even simpler installation, you need a PCMCIA firewire card.
