After I installed firewire 410, my Nuendo3 won't start.... it's loads to "delta family asio" then can't load... and have to send problem to microsoft thing pop-up.
before I had the audiophile 2496, it loads no problem, uninstalled this and installed firewire 410, then can't load.
Wonder anyone knows whats up with this. :undecided

Check to make sure that in your control panel setting for audio that it has your Firewire as your primary soundcard and not the M-audio or stock audiocard.

I checked, it is firewire, reinstalled N3 a couple of times already....

but still same problem... sigh Cubase 3 works though, but the program I want to work with is nuendo3

Try updating your drivers for the firewire card. Especially if your running SP2 or OSX Tiger.

Compare your system with Nuendo 3.0 minimum requirements. Also Check with M-audio to see if there is a bug fix with your firewire card..It could be a bios flash that needs to be updated in order for it to work. Since it works with the 2496 card it should work. Perhaps also that you may a bad unit that needs to be RMA'd back to M-Audio.

Minimum System Requirements:

Windows

Pentium / Athlon 1.6 GHz
512MB RAM

Windows XP Home and XP Professional

Windows MME compatible audio hardware. ASIO compatible audio hardware strongly recommended

1024 x 768 pixels (1152 x 864 pixels, Dual monitor setup recommended)
DVD-ROM drive
USB port for copy protection key

Macintosh

Power Mac G4 Dual 1 GHz (Power Mac G5 Dual 2 GHz or faster recommended)
512MB (1024MB recommended)

OS X Version 10.3 or higher

USB port for copy protection key

1024 x 768 pixels (1152 x 864 pixels, Dual monitor setup recommended)

DVD-ROM drive

Oh by the way, I am using the h20 test before buy version of nuendo3, shouldn't be this problem right?
All those u mentioned I think my system have no problem, because it worked with the audiophile 2496.... it's just after installing the 410 the problem came out. Also what is RMA? Thanx for your replies

RMA= Return Merchandise Authorization..you will always need one in order to return product back to the manufacturer or they will just send right back to you without doing anything. What is the h20 test? Try doing it without it and see if that works. Maybe that is the culprit.

You mean the 410 had this known problem, and need RMA to return it? I just bought it in a music place and only got receipt, nothing else, I don't think they would give u a RMA right, thats like telling everybody there product is defective.

You only RMA it when you know it is definitely defective..Try using another program and see if it is not recognized. There are plenty of demos to try IE Cubase, Sonar, etc. and see if the 410 doesn't work there. If so then call customer support or return it back to that music store and exchange it. You might have a defective unit.

o... it's working now.... I don't know why, but now it's ok.... maybe it's because I played some iraqi music on it today D
