So I've been told by my local dealer. Not sure what this does to the original March release of this box, but it may delay it. I think Panasonic is feeling the pressure of customers not wanting to buy overpriced P2 cards. Heck, you can hardly find them unless you're calling from a TV news station.

I left a message about the CinePorter product to find out their release date and will post when I hear back from them.

I'm not sure why I always hear that people don't want to buy overpriced P2 cards. Why does this keep popping up?

Panasonic can't keep HVX200's or P2 cards in stock anywhere over here. People are waiting for months to get their hands on these products. It seems like the complete opposite to me. People can't wait to get their hands on P2 cards. You can search through these posts on dvxuser.com, and find MANY people wanting to buy P2 cards. I don't see anyone trying to get rid of their P2 media. Maybe it is because there is such a shortage. But, I don't see why Panasonic would abandon what they've been trying to push, especially when they can't make the products fast enough because they are selling out everywhere.
