Firestore QT on Win7-CS5,.. no go, Help

HI all

I have a firestore FS100 and am shooting off of a HVX200. My client requested I shoot in the QT mode instead of P2. The footage is all 1080i. Anway, So I did this and shot in QT HD. I have never used the QT option on the firestore because we are completely P2 Friendly here, through and throughout.

I have a new machine with Win7 on it, PProCS5 and the machine will not play the QT DVCProHD files? Win Media, QT, P2 Forge, lights are on but theres nobody home???. It DOES play the audio but no video stream. I am assuming I need to load up/install a special QT codec of some sort to uncork the magic genie and get him out of the firestore's QT bottle.

Any Suggestions?

If the footage is DVCProHD codec in a Quicktime Container, you will not be able to read it in Windows. Apple does not give out the DVCProHD codecs in Quicktime in Windows (as well as a few others) .

Plug up your drive into a mac and use the file inspector in Quicktime player to see what codec they are in.

Some people on the Creative Cow forums are saying that you can re-wrap that QT data into an AVI with Neo HD. I cannot confirm if this will work.
