Hi Everyone,

Just wondering if anyone has had succuess shooting in 720/50p at full 50fps
and been able interperate the footage at 25 and got that slick true slow motion feeling,
I have a citidsik ( i no everyone hates them) i select 720/50p and set the scene file to 50frame and record and i bring it into premeiere (RAYLIGHT) and i get a nice 50.00fps file i interperate it at 25, the werid thing is at that point it plays out in real time and im like WTF, so i set it to 12.5% quarter speed only to find that yes is in slow mo but that nasty frame blending crap that im used to with normally 25p or 50i footage, so really i have a 50.00 FLAGGED file which only contains 25fps so tell me what am i doing wrong is this a limitation of the firewire port, can a Firestore do better ?, or is this human error and am i misssing a step

thanks All
Ashley

I would drop the MXF file into DVFilm Maker (in your Raylight installData folder) and step through it carefully. See if the frames repeat themselves.
If they do repeat then you shot 25 not 50.

am using AVI cause citidisk doesnt support MXF yet, but i don't think i have DVFilmmaker so im just working with the trial version this is all just testing, is Filmmaker in the trial version? so by what your saying the firewire port can stream 50 frames?
