Firestore 2 gig file limit

Hi All,

I've just bought a Firestore 100 and have noticed a two gig file limit. Is there a work around or a software upgrade to fix this issue or is it just the way it is? Will software v.3 take care of this short comming?

thanks bryan

Firestore is FAT32. There is a 2 gig file limit in FAT32. It makes absolutely no difference since your NLE will span the split clips. Unfortunately, it needs to be in FAT32 because PCs could not handle Mac HFS+ and Macs would have some problems with NTFS. It's the least common denominator but, as I said, it is transparent to your NLE.

Not exactly. The 2GB limit is unique to the FS-100 implementation. FAT32 allows files that are twice that size.
