Firecrest ND problem

Hi all, I could be being silly here but The Firecrest ND 1.2 I bought to go in my mattebox absolutely ruins my image.

Have a look at this video, am I doing something wrong? this is at 600mm on a sigma 150-600.

A telephoto lens such as a 600mm should always use a rear filter and not a front filter. With a front filter you are looking through just a tiny pience of glass, and the diffraction of light will cause massive image degradation.
