im 21 years old and its time for me to get a cd account! does anyone have a CD account w/ a bank or anything. im thinking of getting one. well actually i know im gonna get one. just wanted some of your opinions b4 i take the plunge. im gonna start off with $1k. i think thats the minimum. ill just add $ here and there.

My advice: Shop around. Seriously, call every bank you can to find out what's out there. You'll be amazed at how much difference there can be between banks.

Get yourself a good book, like Sylvia Porter Money Guide. You can get an old one for $1 or $2, some info not current but fundamentals never change. It will help you get started in understanding investments.
