Finally got all my DIY projects done. Inspiration goes to this forum and cheesycam.
Built my fig rig (see attached pics). Cost me about $72 in parts, but $36 was a Giottos MH-621 plate that I didn't end up using. The damn thing has the lock down on the side, and the flash brackets and camera interfered with it. I ended up using a quick release I cut off an old broken tripod. Not sure if I will use that in another project or sell it. The first version I built used some channel and pipe with bicycle grips, but I wasn't happy with how it came out.
My spider dolly's been done for a while, not posting a pic of it unless somebody asks. It consists of the Target $10 skateboard (for the trucks), $10 wheel/bearing upgrade (because they're pretty bad on the $10 skateboard), and $15 cheese plate from B&H. I ended up selling the stock wheels at a garage sale for $3, which made me LOL.
Lastly, I finished my igus slider. Tapped the hole in the rail, drilled and tapped the hole in the slider, and got it assembled.
I've got the hands free shoulder mount from ebay coming in the mail, so once that gets here I think I'm out of excuses--it's time to shoot some video!
Thanks to all for the inspiration and sharing the knowledge.
