Finally, a new Alex Cox Film

Yep, Repo Chick is heading our way. Shot primarily on the RED One but there is some Panasonic HPX171 and JVC GY-HM100U that were used to shoot the BGs as well.

Love the sense of humor, both visual and in the writing.

He has a pretty good description of the workflow used in Repo Chick.

NO comments about the long awaited sort-of-but-not-really sequel to Repo Man? I thought there were a lot of film fans in here? I was put off by the visuals at first, but upon further viewing, the cast and script look pretty interesting.

I don't know. Repo Man will be a tough-to-impossible act, to follow.

But I'll check it out.

Just stumbled on this thread now.

HUGE fan of the original. My buddy told me about how they were filming this in CA last year. He's the real fan....even has a framed Repo Man pic!

I can't believe they're using actual miniatures for the effects shots. I'll have to watch more of the BTS when I have some time.

I don't think that Repo Chick is an actual sequel to the original but based upon the trailer, it seems to be a sort heir apparent to the original's anarchic and snarky spirit.

I look forward to seeing it, I hope he gets distribution.
