So, I am working on a 30 second commercial with the following details:

- Footage shot DVCProHD 720 / 30P (29.97)

- Editing Final Cut Pro Studio 2

- Editing sequence settings - Drop frame & settings as shot

- Output requested by Comcast - ProRes422 720 / 59.94fps DF

How do I output 59.94fps ProRes422 if everything else is 29.97fps?

Note - I did a test run and everything played back in double time.

Thanks in advance,

Mark

No, what they want is 720P, not 1080i. 720P59.94 is a broadcast standard. If you have a Kona or Decklink card, it would output the correct frame rate to tape.

Arniepix - Thanks for your help. Delivery is via FTP not tape.

According to the official tech specifications here are my delivery options for HD:

Frame rate - 720P at 59.94 or 1080i at 29.97
Interlacing - 720 (progressive) and for 1080 (Upper/ Top Field first)

I do have a HD Decklink Extreme. I don't think this helps me for this project though.

Thanks,

Mark
