Hey,

I know that uploading a video to Youtube isn't the most flattering way of displaying a something, but what format (settings) should I convert a video to in order to get the best results using FCP and compressor?
(DV-NTSC 60i)

Thank You,

Todd

Youtube has a 1024MB and 10 minute limit. So, you can keep a pretty high quality.

Youtube will give your video an option for high quality if your file is compressed to a resolution greater than 640x480 and better than 600kbps I think. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hLtTNE61iik

I would exporting as H264, current frame size, high quality, deinterlace.

all I do is this:
use FCP to Export and do "Quicktime Compression"
then set all the "Settings" for this

Then go to "Size" and set it to the following in "Custom"

if wide screen: 640x360
if standard: 640x480

and check off "Deinterlace Source Video"

better yet...

"add &ftm=18"

"&fmt=6" will give you the flash version
"&fmt=18" will give you the mp4 version
