Final Cut Pro X from a music video editor POV?

Will the sound sync function allow me to sync up the reference track used on set with the mastered version of the song that is edited out in the final render? If so that would be a huge time saver for music videos.
 
You can do that already in FCP X. But yes there's now an automatic function in FCP X to sync say a piece of audio to one or more pieces of video. As long as the video clips have reference audio i.e. on-set they should auto sync to your mastered audio. Of course it needs to be the same piece of audio too.

However, one big drawback that should be noted for Music Video editors, is that there is no Multicam mode in FCPX's current version. Though, there's word that it may be added in future version:

I should add, however, that editing itself has been completely re-thought in the new FCPX. I haven't personally tried to edit multicam yet, so there may be no need for a specific 'multicam mode' if you can accomplish the same task right in the timeline.
