Final Cut Pro Video Playback not in Widescreen for Anamorphic Material

I have a Panasonic DVX-100B hooked up to my computer and am running Final Cut Pro 6. I shot everything in the anamorphic squeeze mode. When I play this material back through my camera (which displays the material as widescreen because I forced it on the camera menu) it doesn't playback on the TV in widescreen, it stretches it back out vertically. Is there a setting in Final Cut that will send the signal as a 16:9 signal to the TV, so that it will understand it correctly?
 
Anamorphic 16:9 material comes out of FCP anamorphic. You would need a 16:9 monitor or a 4:3/16:9 switchable monitor to view it properly. You could always create a 4:3 sequence and drop your footage onto it. But then you're rendering on every shot.

My FX-1 can take a widescreen signal and display it letterboxed on a monitor. There's a menu setting which asks if your TV is 4:3 or Widescreen. Don't know if the DVX has a similar setting.
