Final Cut Pro popping

I frequently have this problem of slight popping sounds in my audio tracks. Often I have cross faded it out and it disappears but thats not always an option. It often happens on cuts (in the video track). Does anyone know how to get rid of that?

HD 4.5

thanks

Did you possible clip the audio when recording, happens all the time to me in recording of bands live. All I could think of is take it into an audio program and do some noise reduction; Otherwise you might be stuck with it.

Sometimes regular clicking or poping is a result of bad sample rate conversion but this just sound like the effect you sometimes get when you cut a sound wave at opposing peaks and valleys.

Picture the rise and fall of a sound wave, now chop one in the very top or bottom and marry it to another one with a cut in the wave at the oppposite end. In order for that wave to remain linear there will be a huge vertical line connecting the two. POP!

A tiny crossfade will eliminate it.

Good luck
