Final cut pro help please

I shot my film using the canon XH a1 I shot in 24f hd, but I imported into final cut SD.
I have edited the film and now need to know what is the best way to export for idvd ?
everything was shot in 16x9 formate I normally would just use the export quicktime movie but have heard that there is a better way to export for higher quality and true 16x9 aspect ratio ?
 
have you tried exporting using compressor? That works well for me - there are some good quality presets and you can maintain 16x9
 
have never used compressor, can you send me a good one? really need to get this to dvd in the right formate for festivals
 
ok i got the film compressed 720x480 dv/dvcpro
but now can't seem to get it burned to dvd in widescreen? it wants to stay letterbox 4x3
in i dvd
