Final cut pro as field monitor

is it possible to use final cut pro on a power book and connect my dvx to it and use the powerbook as a field monitor. has anyone tried this or know anything about it, like would after i capture a scene could i view what i just filmed?

It will work just fine, no need to capture after the shoot either, already done.

You could do it, but I wouldn't rely on it for your color or exposure. But you could check for focus.

It's been done many times by many people here, in FCP, PP, Avid etc.

AFA, "after i capture a scene could i view what i just filmed?".....yes, you don't even need to put a tape in the camera.

how do i then transfer it all to my main g5 edit system?
