Final Cut Pro 6.0 Crashing - Won't Open

Hi - hope someone out there can help with this! So FCP 6 won't startup after I installed Final cut Studio. All the other individual programs work fine except FCP.

here is the error message: Date/Time: 2010-01-18 20:26:38.083 -0800
OS Version: 10.4.11 (Build 8S2167)
Report Version: 4

Command: Final Cut Pro
Path: /Applications/Final Cut Pro.app/Contents/MacOS/Final Cut Pro
Parent: WindowServer [59]

Version: 6.0 (6.0)
Build Version: 2
Project Name: FCPApp
Source Version: 705022005

PID: 723
Thread: 6

Exception: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (0x0001)
Codes: KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE (0x0002) at 0x00000000

What I have Tried:
-Uninstalling Final Cut Studio using FCS Remover and then re-installing
-trashing all preferences assocaited with FCS
-repairing permissions
-software upgrade to FCP 6.0.5 and all Apple Pro support updates
-prebinding script installed via Terminal

Nothing has seemed to work. After I repaired permissions, it went through the whole startup sequence in the screen and then just never opened...no crash report.

I have all the programs installed on my internal disk and all the content installed on an external FW drive, doesn't seem to bother Soundtrack Pro or the other programs in the suite.

I upgraded to 10.4.11 before the install too.

The only thing I can think at this point is that I have a TON of audio plugins for ProTools, and FCP looks for all those and one is listed in the Thread 1 of the error report.

Otherwise - I am getting frustrated can't think of anything else to try!
Thanks in advance!

You might try posting your problem on the Final Cut pro area on Creative Cow. There are several authors of books on FCP who might be able to help you.

I understand how frustrating it can be...
