Final Cut Pro 5.1.4- anyone updated lately?

I had an Imac awhile back with FCP 5.1 and updated to 5.1.4 over the net.
Recently I sold the Imac and decided to get a Macbook Pro. I installed 5.1
and tried to go to Apple to install the update- but it is no longer supported.
I do have the update file on a CD, but it gives the message that it must be done
online from the Apple site.

I was going to just tough it out with 5.1, but yesterday I purchased Magic BUllet
looks for several hundred bucks and it would not install. Turns out it requires
FCP 5.1.4 (!). Has anyone been successful in upgrading to 5.1.4 lately? How?

No longer a problem, thanks to the local Apple dealer. When doing software update, it was unable to find the 5.1.4 update because I had inadvertantly
put FCP on the desktop when making an icon for it. FCP must be stored in the
applications folder for software update to work. Hope this helps someone else with this problem.
