The update most assuredly doesn't suck!!!

Are you using Software Update? If you're running FCP5 or later, then the 5.1.2 and ProApps Support updates should appear when you run Software Update.

I don't mean to sound condescending, just curious as to what procedures you're following to install the update - perhaps I'd be able to help ya out if you can explain a little further what trouble you're having.

PS - The update rocks, I hope you can get it installed. In addition to all the cool format updates, bug fixes, etc... it also gives you Motion FXplug support from within the FCP timeline. SWWWWWEEEEEEET!!! :)

PPS - I've installed the updates on 8 machines today, all without a hitch.
