Final Cut Pro 5.1.2 import problem!

hi there
i have a serious problem

i shot 720p with my hvx200, then copied the files from a p2 card via pcmia port to a ntfs external hard drive via windows xp, then took the hard drive to the cutter, who is using final cut pro 5.1.2, but can not import the copied files...

could it be a problem with ntfs? osx should not have any problems with reading ntfs should it?

the error message is something like (translated): files damaged or imcomplete

what could be the problem?

i am thankful for every piece of information, thanks in advance
 
MacOS and your version of FCP have no issues importing P2 footage. You must have the folder called Contents and the file lastclip.txt (I'm pretty sure this is what is called from memory) to be able to import both in the same folder. Have you got these? Also is it 25p? I think there may be issues importing this into FCP.
 
I've never tried it, but I'm pretty sure NTFS doesn't read on OSX. If you want a cross platform hard drive you need to use the Fat 32 table.

he didn't import from the folder above the lastclip.txt file
it seems to work now, thanks.
