Final Cut Express question...

I'm new to the MAC and the world of Final Cut. I used to edit on Vegas for PC...I am trying to print the timeline of my project to tape. I followed the tutorial that came with the program, however when it goes to print, the camcorder (DVX100a) remains with a blue screen and does not record a thing...is it something I am doing wrong??

You might want to check out Noah K's DVDs for the DVX. He goes through it quite in detail I believe. Though he does it for FCP, I would imagine a lot would still apply for FCE. You can check them out at Callbox Live

Have you tried putting the camera into VCR mode and then going analog out to a TV set? Then you could at least see if its seeing any signal at all from the computer (make sure Final Cut is set to video playback for firewire). I would first want to make sure the camera can see the timeline at all. Then try and proceed with the print to tape options.

Though this is all coming from FCP thinking. I'm not well verse in FCExpress so I'm not familiar with any quirks that might exist that you might have to work around.
