Final Cut express on Mac Book Pro

I am in the market for a Mac Book Pro so that I can run Final Cut or Final Cut Express. I need a definative awnswer on this. Some people say it will run too slow, while others say that it runs just fine.
 
Depends what you are planning to do with it and what kind of MacBook Pro you are getting. But I'm running Final Cut Pro on my 2.6 Ghz MacBook Pro and it's plenty fast for DVCPROHD, DV, HDV editing, etc. In fact(shameless plug mode) every Call Box DVD on our store was edited and authored as a DVD with a MacBook Pro
