Hi Guys and girls.

I have a quick question regarding quality and out put and compression please.
I need to create a SD DVD,
I have recorded footage using HVX200 DVDPRO HD 1080 progressive,
placed the footage on a sequence with the following settings,

Frame Size 1440X1080
Pixel Aspect Ratio 1440X1080
Compression DVCPRO HD 1080 P25

I have rendered and sent the timeline to compressor and chosen the Best quality 90 minute MPEG 2 setting and increased the bit rate as high as I can,
compressed then imported into DVD studio pro, then created a very simple DVD and burnt the disk.

The estimated size after compression is 401 meg from a file that originally is 6.2 GB.

The question is the quality is ok I guess, nothing amazing and was wondering if there is another way of doing this, or perhaps I have missed something out or just being a little silly with settings?

Many many thanks

Indy

The 90 minute best quality at it's default settings will give you great quality. Putting the bit rate up as high as possible may give you a file too large for a DVD.
