Final Cut Crashes with Missing Render File

So I'm trying to open a project which incorporates NTSC clips and some motion projects...FCP keeps crashing because it's looking for a missing render file (I think the render file somehow relates to using a clip in a motion project then importing the motion project in--all as reference files--but I digress).
I tried to copy and rename another render file to the one it's missing. It asks for it 3 times andaccepts the newly named render file. Then it loads most of the project file, asks for the render file one last time and then crashes!!!!

Anyone have an idea what I should do?! This is my company's new demo and my boss (me) will kill me if I don't figure this out!

Thanks!

Have you tried going into the Auto Save vault and opening up an older version of the same project?

Another option would be to take all your render files offline - and force a rerender of the entire project.
