I was quite happy about FCP 6 since I had to open a recent project with multiclip sequences, even with some already collapsed. Opening the 5.1 project FCP 6 could not recognize a couple of long clips (50min) telling me that encountered problem in TC, audio channels and more... One Clip showed two times as offline to reconnect: one as clip, the other as something new that wasn't there before (same name but not in my capture hd)...
Tried many ways and at the end I had to re-install FCP 5.1.4, everything was fine again, apart from Compressor 3 that would crash opening...and with FCP Studio 2 installer you can't check off FCP 6 to reinstall it....
All the other FCP Studio 2 sw it's working fine: Motion 3, Soundtrack Pro etc.
Maybe I try to use a package utility to install just Compressor 3, since I need to work on that 2.5 hours Music Fashion Show w/h multiclip for short version required, but I need Compressor back again for DVD and web size movies to post.
Does anybody tried to install just Compressor 3? And have anybody had problem with multiclip from FCP 5.1?
